Kid-friendly recipes for new nanny?
I start a new live-in nanny position next week for two young girls, 4 & 7, and I need some fairly simple recipes for the family and some that the girls might even be able to help a little bit with. I've been told they aren't picky eaters, and even love their vegetables and spicy food, as their parents are Mongolian and Thai...so just about anything will do. Any suggestions?
I'd prefer ideas that can be made homemade, rather than store-bought or frozen foods. Thanks :-)

I was a nanny. And the best advice i can give you is talk to the family and find out what they like and what they want the children to be eating. the family I took care of they didn't want the kids eating a lot of processed food so we cooked alot of homemade favorites from their family and I also spent time looking for different recipes on the Internet and in magazines. The children I took care of loved to be part of the grocery shopping expereince. They picked out alot of the fruits and vegetables. I made a point of picking out a different fruit or vegetable each week . It was something that they never and before.

Reply:My son and I make ham & cheese "soft tacos". Just sprinkle shredded cheese on ham and roll it up like a soft taco. Stick it in the microwave for about 45 seconds to make it warm enough for the cheese to melt.
